What next? Can you believe that dog? I see what’s coming. I’m a dog-goner! Why do some dogs have to make life difficult for the rest of us?
I think I’ll just continue to do what I do best
Spread the wisdom and look awesome while at it!
It was a divine morning today. I decided to check on the garden to see if all was well in my little playground.
Check. No intruders there.
Oh wait. My nose is on to something.
The neighborhood’s all clear. Well, as clear as can be on a misty February morning.
Seeing that the patio was as good as it as it could be, and free of all birds to chase, I ran to my human to take her for a walk. We celebrate the winters in this part of the world before we hide from the sun in the hotter months of the year.
The beach was really fun.I was not intimidated by the water this time. And, I met a new friend …People meet Arthur!
Here’s us greeting each other and finding out if we’re going to be good with each other.
Once the niceties were done, it was time to have fun. And boy, did we have a great time. We chased each other in the water and found a lot of treasures from under water, half of which were taken from us because it was not safe. Oh- Pish Posh! Humans!
That’s Arthur wanting me to chase him after I found a bottle that no one wanted.
I found a nice log which I played fetch with my humans for a long time.
we had such great fun at the beach. Once it was time to go hime, I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open.
But, yes, it was a great day. I love hanging out with my humans. And I put the word ‘fun’ in their lives 🙂
She lay there in pain. She woke up in a strange place with strange people around. She tried to get on her feet. She felt different. She realized she had only three legs. She was scared, confused. She just wanted to go home. She scanned all the faces around her, hoping he would be there so she could run into his arms. She waited.. for days, she waited. Each time, the door opened at the Australian Vet Center, she raised her head, her ears alert- “has he come to take me home?” The pain shot up the side of the shoulder where her leg would have been. But, it hurt more every time the door opened and it was not him standing there.
Months later, she still waits. This, my dear humans, is my sweet friend, Zara.
She had someone to call her own. Someone she would have laid her life down for. Someone she trusted would be her person. When that someone didn’t hold his end of the deal and abandoned her at the vets’ when she needed him the most, she must have questioned, Man’s best friend or God’s gift to man? I leave it to you to decide.
Yet, Her spirit has not been dampened. She runs with me, plays with me, and greets all humans with undying joy, despite a human being responsible for the loss of her limb.
Yes, this is my sweet Zara. My friend. She has not found a home yet. She is fostered by a lovely lady until she finds her forever home . I hope she finds the joy in having her human that she deserves.
“…when a few wild dogs took it upon themselves to watch over man, to bark when he’s in danger, to run and play with him when he’s happy, to nuzzle him when he’s lonely. That’s why they call us man’s best friend”

Christmas in Abu Dhabi this year was very eventful.. We had family and friends visiting this year and I had a lot of humans pampering me. Pampering’s always welcome.
I helped make the Gingerbread house (until I could hold myself no longer and demolished it in the process)
I helped put the lights up on the Christmas Tree
Now, didn’t that come out well? And no.. I didn’t tug at the decorations this time..
I entertained the guests
All in all, I spread the Christmas Spirit, for I think humans need all the cheer they can get..
Wish you all a Merry Christmas!!
Morning’s Here
The Morning is Here
Sunshine is Here
The Sky is Clear
The Morning’s here
Get into Gear
Breakfast is near
The Dark of Night Has Disappe-a-ee-red… WOOFF!!
A beautiful sunny day it is in Abu Dhabi today folks. We went for our morning walk along the corniche. And here’s the city from where I was standing.
We walked and walked.. Since there was no one around, I had a free run of the whole place. And then, there they were- Swee’ Mama.. All of ’em jus’ waiting for me..
I crawled up behind them..
The pure joy of them squawking and flying away.. That’s somethin’ else folks!
And then, I decided to explore on my own.
Human no. 2 call that my jackass smile when I’m caught eating something I’m not supposed to.. Hey! You can’t blame a dog for trying!
We crossed over to the other side through the underpass and that’s me on the Moroccan fountain.
Was very amused with the water trying to escape 🙂
And there’s another work of art. All aboard Capt’n!
I was all tired after our long walk. And I was all ready to cool down with a bath.
Not the kind of bath you’re thinking.It’s a Mud-bath!
There’s nothing like a mud bath after a long walk, I assure you. That’s me inviting my human to join me. But she doesn’t seem too interested. Well… Her loss.
She’s just made me one happy K-9 today!
It’s official folks and no one deserves better than me to declare it- Summer in Abu Dhabi is finally over and here comes happy days again!
Uh-Oh! Friday Morning! I have got to hide!
You’d think the table would do its job. Got to find a better hiding place next time.
Every Friday without fail, human no. 2 showers me down and applies these weird smelling gooey stuff all over me. I’ve never been able to escape this routine. My eyes don’t seem to have any effect on her!
There’s no running. I’m trapped. Might as well get over with it.
Hrrumph!!
That’s the gooey stuff I was talking about. I better lie down for this one.
Okay we’re done!
Here comes the fun part! Drying. This is where I get back at my human. Shake and water her down! A lil’ jiggle there.. and a little ear shaking all the way down to my tail..
Now, let’s go get some sun!.
Do I hear something?
Just a couple of silly birds making a racket.
It’s time for some coconut husk ripping and sunbathing folks. You’re welcome to join me. There’s husk for everyone.
Yeah.. After rain comes a rainbow alright!
Sleep is to me as honey is to Winnie the Pooh. And so are chicken liver biscuits.. but that story is for another day!
I am up and about once the sun kisses the sky. All the same, I still need my 16 hour beauty sleep, without which I’m a wreck!
I sleep anywhere I can stretch my legs.
I do have some personal favorite spots though.
Beneath the legs of my master is one of them.
The ‘L’ of the sofa is another place i frequent for my power naps.
I don’t sleep on the bed without my humans telling me to.. But this was one of those times where I prove there are exceptions to every rule.
I have my safe place where I go when I’m unsure of what’s out there to get me. I can’t really tell you where it is- It wouldn’t be the safe place if I told you so.
I also sleep when I visit other humans.
Sometimes against the wall.
I like to stretch and fit myself into certain umm… dens?
That was a good nap!
And the best place of all! Right in between my humans. Human no. 1 calls me a camel. I wonder why…
So, what if it’s summer in one of the hottest regions in the world. The secret to being a happy golden is to beat the summer sun.
I was a little hesitant to get into the water at first..
But, then my humans went splashing into the water and it was time to play!
We played ball..
And ran..
And hopped..
And jiggled…
and paw-printed the whole place!!
Yes! We love the beach!
I'm a glass half full kind of gal who thinks life is more enjoyable with pets !
